The Operational Control Screen is a unique and very useful tool for transient operation studies. This screen displays the operating conditions for pumps, tanks, valves, regulators and demands and allows the user to change these conditions and launch the analysis. This is a very useful and sophisticated environment for presentations. This also provides a platform for setting up and launching a transient (surge) analysis. Parameters such as a change in pump speed, pump startup and shutdown and changes in valve settings can be defined on this screen. Reservoir and tank levels and global demand factors may be changed as well as valve and regulator settings. This along with SURGE2000 graphical displays is a very effective tool for presenting the impact of transients in a distribution system.
